Buzău 21K - 1st edition - 2025 The first half marathon in Buzău
Buzău 21K is the county’s first half marathon, organized by the Buzău Community Foundation, which will take place on September 28, 2025. The running routes will start from the Buzău Athletics Stadium, pass through Crâng Park, and continue along the city’s main boulevards and streets.
The event is more than just a sporting competition—it is a charitable and community initiative that promotes exercise, health, solidarity, and civic engagement. It will bring together amateur and professional runners, teams of colleagues, families, children, and seniors—all united in a common effort to support relevant local causes.
How does it work?
– Non-profit organizations and local initiative groups submit projects with a positive impact on the community.
– Runners who register for the competition choose a project they want to support and become its ambassadors.
– Supporters donate to the chosen causes through the runners, thus contributing to the financing of the projects.
The Buzău 21K Half Marathon is a race with meaning: every kilometer run is a step forward for a more involved, healthier, and more supportive community.
